This position is based at Harvey's Point, located in Friary, Lough Eske, County Donegal, Ireland. Harvey's Point is a distinguished 4-star luxury hotel with approximately 101 rooms, situated amidst scenic surroundings including the Bluestack mountains. It has maintained a strong presence in luxury hospitality for over 30 years. The hotel is managed by Windward Management, a reputable hospitality management company founded in 2007, operating around 2,000 hotel keys across Ireland and Europe.
Role Overview
We are inviting applications for the role of Receptionist/Reservations Agent to join our award-winning team. This role offers full-time employment with on-site responsibilities focused on ensuring exceptional guest interactions and efficient reservation handling.
Primary Responsibilities
- Facilitate smooth reception operations including guest check-in and check-out alongside completion of audit procedures.
- Manage incoming phone reservations and address customer inquiries effectively.
- Deliver exceptional service while building strong rapport with guests and anticipating their needs to surpass expectations.
- Promptly take ownership and resolve guest concerns to maintain satisfaction.
- Conduct cash handling aligned with company financial policies.
- Perform general administrative duties such as managing correspondence, emails, and filing to support reception activities.
- Stay informed regarding room pricing and special promotions to provide precise information to guests.
Candidate Requirements
- This opportunity is full-time with rotating shifts including work on weekends.
- Excellent proficiency in spoken and written English communication.
- A natural aptitude for promoting and selling the Harvey's Point experience.
- Professional appearance, confidence, and a friendly disposition.
- Capability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and pressure-driven environment.
- Experience with revenue management systems is preferred.
- Familiarity with Hotsoft Property Management System is advantageous.
