Job description

Position Overview

This entry-level role supports various sales functions by ensuring that store displays meet company merchandising standards. The main focus lies in optimizing and refreshing coolers and gondola shelving according to PepsiCo's guidelines and specific chain planograms, primarily in smaller retail outlets such as convenience stores, gas stations, small groceries, and drugstores. Additional tasks may include delivering racks and point-of-sale materials, managing storage, and distributing mail as directed by the manager.

Key Duties

  • Reset shelves, coolers, and purchase points to adhere to set merchandising and contract standards.
  • Maintain organized backroom stock areas.
  • Utilize point-of-purchase displays effectively in each location.
  • Develop and nurture positive working relationships with cross-functional colleagues and primary account contacts.
  • Deliver excellent customer service by communicating clearly, building rapport, and responding attentively to customer needs.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ensure consistent attendance and reliability.

Physical Demands

The role requires frequent lifting, loading, pushing, and pulling of cases weighing between 20 to 45 pounds during an 8 to 10-hour shift. Tasks include bending, reaching, and squatting to move and adjust products. Experience operating a forklift is advantageous but not essential.

Basic Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Hold a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Successfully pass a background check.
  • Possess reliable personal transportation to travel between multiple store locations during a shift.
  • Have a valid U.S. driver's license and proof of insurance.
  • Complete forklift testing if applicable.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in retail or grocery environments, including store operations, stock management, product placement, and shelf maintenance.
  • Customer service experience, such as handling inquiries, resolving complaints, and meeting customer expectations.
  • Familiarity with operating moving equipment like forklifts and hand trucks.

Additional Information

Mileage reimbursement is available for roles requiring use of a personal vehicle for sales routes.
