Security Officer

Position Overview

The role is aimed at safeguarding the company premises and assets, preventing unauthorized access and property removal, and managing emergency situations effectively.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Control access to the site to prevent unauthorized entry.
• Support fire evacuation procedures and other emergency drills adhering to established protocols.
• Enforce standard operating procedures (S.O.P.) relevant to site security and emergencies.
• Prevent the unauthorized removal of company assets from the premises.
• Conduct searches as necessary or requested to maintain security.
• Prepare accurate and detailed reports, submitting them to the appropriate authorities.
• Keep all logs factual and up-to-date.
• Use internal surveillance systems including cameras and physical patrols to monitor the site.
• Manage telephone responsibilities outside regular office hours.
• Perform weekly checks and maintenance on the fire sprinkler and alarm systems.
• Escort supervisors or team leaders to stores when required.
• Execute daily and nightly patrols around the company site.

Qualifications and Experience

• Prior experience in a security role is essential.
• A college certification in security studies is advantageous.
• First aid certification is preferable.
• Understanding of fire extinguisher use and their appropriate application is necessary.
