Senior Accountant

About the Role

Supreme Geotech Private Limited invites experienced accountants with a strong manufacturing background, especially in fabric or textile sectors, to lead our accounting functions. This role involves managing all facets of accounting operations, financial reporting, statutory compliance, and ERP-driven processes within our company.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations including General Ledger, Accounts Payable and Receivable, and Bank Reconciliation.
• Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements accurately and on schedule.
• Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other regulatory requirements.
• Manage inventory accounting, cost calculations, and finance related to manufacturing activities.
• Monitor receivables, payables, and optimize cash flow management.
• Liaise with auditors, banking institutions, and government authorities.
• Develop Management Information System (MIS) reports and conduct financial analyses for strategic decision-making.
• Maintain accuracy of financial records and strengthen internal controls.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and enforcing cost controls.
• Maintain fixed assets registry and handle depreciation accounting.
• Support the implementation, customization, and enhancement of ERP systems for financial processes.

Skills and Experience Required

• Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Expertise in GST, TDS, Income Tax laws and mandated compliance procedures.
• Proficient user of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software in accounting functions.
• Understanding of inventory control and costing in manufacturing contexts.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical capabilities and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and organizational abilities.

Qualifications and Eligibility

• Educational background: Bachelor or Master of Commerce (B.Com/M.Com).
• A minimum of five years of professional accounting experience is required.
• Demonstrated experience using ERP software in a manufacturing setting is essential.

Preferred Attributes

• Proven track record of independently maintaining full sets of accounts.
• Familiarity with inventory valuation methods and production cost accounting.
• Capacity to coordinate with diverse departments such as Production, Purchase, Stores, and Sales.
