Senior Operations Manager

About the Role

A prominent global manufacturing company with a well-established production facility in Malaysia is searching for an experienced and proactive professional to join its site leadership team. This key position involves comprehensive oversight of the site's operational functions to ensure efficiency, seamless business operations, and strong collaboration among departments as the company scales and adapts.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage daily operational activities across production, quality assurance, warehouse, procurement, and pre-production to ensure business continuity and alignment with organizational goals.
• Convert business strategies into detailed operational plans focusing on capacity management, resource distribution, and productivity enhancement initiatives.
• Lead process improvements and foster continuous advancement utilizing lean methodologies, digitalization, and automation in production and warehouse processes.
• Direct procurement planning, supplier relationship management, stock optimization, and the coordination of global logistics.
• Champion a robust safety culture, oversee quality control systems, conduct audits, and implement risk management strategies to protect business operations.
• Develop and strengthen a multidisciplinary operations team through leadership, training, and capability building.

Candidate Requirements

• A relevant degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related discipline paired with 10 to 15 years of industry experience.
• Proven expertise in operational strategy development, performance oversight, and leading diverse teams.
• Experience managing cross-functional operations and handling complex, large-scale projects.
• Strong familiarity with ERP and WMS systems and the use of data analytics for informed decision-making.
• Exceptional attention to detail complemented by critical thinking and effective problem-solving abilities.
• Demonstrated record of achieving operational excellence, continuous process improvements, and cost efficiency.
• Experienced leader capable of managing extensive operational teams.
• Must be a citizen of Malaysia.
