Role Overview

We seek a motivated Software Developer to enhance our Currency Data API and the systems generating mid-market currency rates utilized by millions. This role focuses on development using Java within an Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure leveraging modern open-source frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of partner integrations, including APIs visible to customers.
• Architect next-generation microservices to improve platform scalability and maintainability.
• Stay current with best practices in software architecture and system design.
• Deliver robust, high-quality code with strong testing coverage.
• Collaborate closely with product teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of features.
• Create automated unit and integration tests to uphold code quality.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience in software development, ideally using Java or Kotlin.
• Proficient in object-oriented analysis and design patterns.
• Experience working with the Spring Framework.
• Familiarity with test-driven development methodology.
• Skilled in designing and integrating RESTful APIs and third-party API consumption.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Knowledgeable in both NoSQL and SQL databases.
• Energetic and proactive work attitude.

Preferred Additional Skills

• Experience programming in Python.
• Familiarity with Valkey/Redis for caching and data storage solutions.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services such as Lambda, ECS, DynamoDB, Kinesis, SNS, SQS, EventBridge, and API Gateway.
• Usage of Docker, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines, ideally GitHub Actions.
• Experience with frontend frameworks like Vue.js.
