Position Overview

This opportunity is offered on behalf of a partner company seeking a Software Engineer located in Ireland. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining critical backend services that underpin secure, scalable digital financial platforms. The position is fully remote within an international team, enabling collaboration across multiple countries and disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

Architect, develop, test, deploy, and support high-quality backend applications and services.
Own software components throughout all lifecycle stages, from initial design to ongoing production maintenance and enhancement.
Create secure, fault-tolerant, scalable solutions suitable for a substantial global user base.
Work closely with fellow engineers, product teams, and stakeholders to address complex technical challenges.
Contribute to architectural decisions focusing on microservices, cloud-native designs, and distributed systems.
Implement modern engineering methodologies such as CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and continuous deployment.
Employ advanced concepts like Event-Driven Architecture and Domain-Driven Design for system maintainability.
Engage in code reviews, technical conversations, and knowledge exchange activities.
Identify enhancements to improve system reliability, performance, and engineering workflows.
Participate across various business areas, including wealth management, financial crime prevention, customer growth and retention, and money transfer solutions.

Candidate Requirements

Strong grounding in software engineering fundamentals with experience in at least one programming language, preferably Python.
Proven backend development experience crafting dependable software systems.
Basic knowledge of microservices architectures, cloud-native applications, and containerization technologies.
Familiar with the entire software development cycle encompassing testing, deployment, and ongoing system upkeep.
Understanding of CI/CD processes alongside automated testing strategies.
An interest in cutting-edge architectural patterns such as Event-Driven Architecture and Domain-Driven Design.
Excellent communication abilities and effectiveness in remote, distributed team environments.
A proactive, curious approach with enthusiasm for learning, experimentation, and solving complex issues.
A passion intersecting finance and innovative digital asset technologies.
Experience with AWS, Docker, Python frameworks (like Django or Flask), relational and NoSQL databases (MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, PostgreSQL), Node.js, or comparable technologies is seen as advantageous.
