Role Overview

We are seeking our inaugural Frontend Software Engineer to own and develop the frontend function at Petra. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the user experience as we expand into new workflows and product areas. You will be integral to translating ideas and customer needs into polished, production-ready interfaces that strengthen our product's reputation and user trust.

Key Responsibilities

• Transform initial concepts from Figma designs, client challenges, or hypotheses into production-quality user experiences.
• Enhance overall product quality including visual polish, interactivity, accessibility, responsive design, and performance.
• Develop prototypes in code when static designs are insufficient for demonstrating motion, interactions, or complex views.
• Engage with Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and security teams to understand workflows and pain points, translating insights into effective UX.
• Create foundational systems such as reusable components, design tokens, and component APIs that will scale as the product grows.

We primarily use React, TypeScript, Node.js, and Python.

• Self-critical and quality-conscious, identifying flaws proactively.
