Role Overview

This position is for a frontend software engineer in Bengaluru, focused on building and improving web applications within an agile environment. The role calls for strong hands-on experience with modern JavaScript frameworks and a solid grasp of quality, maintainability, and cross-functional collaboration.

Technical Requirements

Candidates should be comfortable developing web applications with JavaScript, ES6, object-oriented JavaScript, TypeScript, and Angular. Exposure to Vue.js or React is an added advantage. Experience with 2D and 3D rendering using WebGL, D3.js, or charting tools such as Chart.js will be considered a plus.

The role also involves creating responsive, browser-compatible interfaces using HTML, CSS, and Angular Material. Familiarity with SVG and image processing is beneficial. A good understanding of unit testing and practical exposure to Jasmine and Karma with Angular would be useful.

Knowledge of cloud-based development, particularly Azure, along with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, will strengthen the profile. Experience in energy, oil and gas, or engineering domains is an additional advantage.

Work Style and Expectations

The selected candidate will work closely with product and technical stakeholders to understand requirements, contribute to design decisions, and help shape solutions aligned with the product architecture. The role requires a proactive approach, the ability to operate with limited supervision, and a commitment to delivering robust code from development through technical QA.

Documentation and knowledge sharing are important parts of the job, along with staying current on relevant tools, engineering practices, and technology trends.

Experience Required

The position calls for 4 to 5 years of relevant industry experience. Prior exposure to distributed agile teams and collaboration across international teams is considered relevant, and sector experience in energy, oil and gas, or engineering is especially valuable.

Eligibility

Applicants must hold a B.Tech or B.E. degree in any specialisation.

Compensation

The salary offered is INR 12,00,000 to 15,00,000 per year.
