System Administrator - 100% Remote

Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Systems Administrator to support and advance technology initiatives emphasizing solution implementation, documentation integrity, quality assurance, and effective stakeholder collaboration, including projects involving artificial intelligence.

Key Responsibilities

• Optimize Microsoft Azure resources through process development and maintenance.
• Analyze Azure resource utilization to detect contention and recommend necessary modifications or improvements for optimization.
• Manage Microsoft Azure Entra ID and Active Directory services.
• Develop, deploy, and maintain optimization processes for Amazon Web Services (AWS) and related cloud resources.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, standards, procedures, and system records.
• Administer and support enterprise-wide systems as a subject matter expert within the department.

Required Experience

• At least five years of experience administering Windows servers, with three years focused on versions 2016 or later.
• Minimum three years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud technologies.
• At least two years of experience managing AWS cloud services.
• More than five years of Active Directory, DNS, and Group Policy administration in large environments supporting over 1,000 users.
• Three years of Linux server management experience.

Educational Qualifications

A bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field from an accredited institution is required. Alternatively, four years of relevant professional experience can substitute for formal education on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing projects with extensive, geographically distributed user populations.
• Ability to develop and manage timelines for multiple concurrent projects.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure Government and AWS cloud environments.
• Background working on state government technology initiatives.
• Experience managing and reporting project metrics in compliance with Rule 60GG-1, F.A.C.
• A proactive, solution-oriented attitude towards complex problem-solving.
• Knowledge of IT standards applicable within criminal justice environments.
• Capability to meet deadlines consistently, thrive under pressure, and prioritize tasks effectively.
