Technical Consultant

Overview

Seeking an experienced Technical Consultant based in Jeddah, KSA, to manage application administration and database support within the banking domain. The role demands proficiency in programming, system management, and collaboration with IT teams to ensure smooth operations and project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, set up, configure, and upgrade application software and its components to maintain optimal performance.
• Continuously monitor application and database operations, diagnosing and resolving performance issues and bottlenecks.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls responsibly to safeguard system integrity.
• Develop and update documentation including operational procedures and troubleshooting manuals.
• Deliver prompt technical assistance to end-users encountering application-related challenges.
• Prepare and execute Disaster Recovery procedures, including tests and emergency restorations to minimize downtime.
• Conduct root cause analysis for system disruptions and produce detailed reports to support preventive project planning.
• Ensure production issues are addressed swiftly within agreed SLAs, including 24/7 incident resolution where necessary.
• Configure and monitor application alerts and perform regular health checks using APM tools to maintain system availability and readiness.
• Respond proactively to network operation center alerts and implement corrective measures to uphold system stability.
• Plan capacity alongside development and architecture teams to ensure scalability and high performance.
• Support database administration by monitoring performance, enforcing security patches, and assisting with database design and optimization.
• Engage collaboratively with IT teams, business stakeholders, and vendors to troubleshoot problems and support system enhancements.
• Participate actively in project planning and application-related implementation tasks.

Required Skills and Experience

• Strong technical knowledge including JavaScript, HTML, CSS, programming languages, and SQL Server database management.
• Experience working within the banking or financial sector environment.
• At least 4 years of experience in relevant technical roles involving application and database administration.
