Technical Lead - DevOps

Role Overview

Join TO THE NEW Private Limited as a Technical Lead specializing in DevOps, responsible for designing, deploying, and managing cloud applications primarily on AWS, utilizing modern architectures such as microservices and serverless systems. This position focuses on creating Infrastructure as Code solutions, automating deployments, and continuously improving system performance and cost-efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and deploy applications on AWS using cloud-native technologies including microservices and serverless architectures aligned with Infrastructure as Code principles.
• Collaborate closely with development teams to gather system requirements and propose solutions for new services or enhancements, driving robust, secure, and well-monitored infrastructure design.
• Analyze and resolve performance bottlenecks by leveraging technologies such as database indexing, Varnish, Memcache, Redis, and CloudFront.
• Automate deployment pipelines (CI/CD) and routine operations utilizing scripting languages like Shell and Python, along with tools such as Jenkins and CodeDeploy.
• Implement comprehensive configuration management across development, testing, and production environments using Chef or Ansible.
• Continuously optimize infrastructure costs through right-sizing of servers and cloud-based services.
• Oversee database management including permissions, backups, and performance tuning for MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Elasticsearch while mentoring team members with technical guidance.
• Drive innovation by auditing, monitoring applications and infrastructure, and identifying improvements for enhanced performance and reliability.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor of Engineering, BTech, or MCA degree with more than 9 years of professional experience focusing on DevOps and deployment of enterprise-level applications on public cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Proficient in establishing AWS Well-Architected Framework setups from scratch utilizing services like ECS, ASG, ALB, WAF, EC2, S3, RDS, CloudFront, CloudFormation, and CloudTrail.
• Experienced in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, and skilled in microservices architecture implemented with Kubernetes, including zero downtime deployment on auto-scaling infrastructures.
• Demonstrated expertise using CI/CD tools like Jenkins, CircleCI, GitLab, and CodeDeploy for continuous integration and deployment.
• Capable of functioning as both a technical consultant across multiple projects and a hands-on contributor in a leadership capacity.
• Practiced in agile software development environments that embrace DevOps methodologies.
• Self-driven professional able to meet tight deadlines effectively.
