Position Overview
This role is located at Tarrawonga Mine and presents multiple opportunities for technicians ready to develop within a collaborative team. The job involves hands-on maintenance work with a wide range of mining vehicles and equipment, including Caterpillar (CAT) and Hitachi units, to ensure reliable and safe operations in compliance with regulatory and site-specific requirements. Both workshop and field maintenance are integral to the role, requiring flexibility and teamwork.
Main Responsibilities
- Conducting preventative and unscheduled maintenance on electric drive haul trucks (e.g., Hitachi EH4000-2/3)
- Troubleshooting and repairing faults in high-voltage electrical systems
- Operates in both workshop and field environments for a comprehensive maintenance approach
Candidate Requirements
- Dedication to safe work practices and operating standards
- Strong analytical and diagnostic skills for equipment fault detection and resolutions
- Ability and willingness to learn and adapt to new situations
- Experience working on electric drive trucks, particularly within the mining sector
- Possession of Certificate III in Electrotechnology
- Valid High Voltage Electrical Licence
- Current driver’s license
- Willingness to undergo an Order 45 medical examination
