Role Overview

This full-time, on-site position involves supporting land use and development choices through analysis of demographic, economic, and environmental information. The Urban Planner will prepare detailed plans, maps, and reports; liaise with internal teams and external partners; and assist in zoning, infrastructure planning, and policy formulation. Key tasks include reviewing current plans, pinpointing improvements, and ensuring consistency with regulations and long-term regional strategies. The role also includes aiding public engagement, advancing sustainability efforts, and monitoring execution of approved plans.

Qualifications

• Expertise in Urban Planning to design thorough plans and strategies.
• Competence in Regional Planning frameworks to back city-wide and territorial initiatives.
• Experience in Environmental Planning to embed sustainability, assess impacts, and manage resources.
• Knowledge of Land Use Planning for zoning analysis, growth potential, and spatial structuring of urban zones.
• A bachelor's degree or above in Urban Planning, Regional Planning, Geography, Architecture, or related disciplines.
• Understanding of planning laws, standards, and permitting procedures relevant to Saudi Arabia or comparable regions.
• Ability to analyze spatial datasets; GIS or mapping tool skills are advantageous.
• Strong analytical, communication, and report composition abilities, enabling clear presentation of complex concepts.
• Team-oriented approach with experience collaborating across multiple disciplines and with varied stakeholders.
• Fluent professional English skills; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
