Job Overview

We are recruiting diligent and motivated individuals to join our frozen warehouse team based in Darton, Barnsley. Candidates should bring a strong work ethic, meticulous attention to detail, and thrive in a brisk work setting. While prior experience is advantageous, comprehensive training will be provided. You will be part of a team ensuring hygiene standards are met efficiently.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning duties to meet required standards under guidance from the line manager.
• Utilize cleaning agents responsibly and economically, complying with COSHH regulations.
• Report low stock levels to management promptly.
• Maintain speed and efficiency in task completion.
• Operate effectively within cold storage environments down to -20°C.
• Assume responsibilities across the hygiene department during absences or high workload situations as directed by management.
• Handle operation of the automatic cardboard baler.
• Use mechanical cleaning machines as trained and needed.
• Complete all paperwork accurately and on time, following version-controlled documentation protocols.
• Consistently adhere to health and safety guidelines and encourage peers to do the same.
• Report health and safety near misses actively and promote vigilance among colleagues.
• Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with other departments.

Working Hours and Location

This position requires 20 hours per week, scheduled Monday through Friday from 11:30 am to 3:30 pm. The work site is located at Darton, Barnsley S75 5NH.

Compensation

The hourly wage for this position is £12.75, disbursed every four weeks.
