This opportunity is offered on behalf of a partner company based in the United Arab Emirates seeking an Android Developer for 2026. The role involves creating and enhancing high-performance mobile apps serving a vast global audience. Collaborating with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and QA specialists, you will develop engaging Android experiences with a strong focus on quality, performance, and scalability throughout the application lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and improve Android applications by writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
Manage the entire mobile app lifecycle, including planning, coding, testing, deployment, maintenance, and ongoing enhancements.
Work closely with cross-functional teams such as product, design, backend, and QA to deliver user-focused features.
Create and run unit and UI tests; troubleshoot and resolve bugs to ensure app stability and optimum performance.
Monitor app health using tools like Crashlytics, ANR reports, and performance metrics, proactively addressing issues.
Implement analytics tracking and support feature rollouts, app configurations, and A/B testing to evaluate product effectiveness.
Maintain legacy codebases while exploring opportunities for new features, cutting-edge technologies, and development best practices.
Keep abreast of emerging Android technologies, frameworks, and industry trends to enhance app quality continuously.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
Minimum of 2 years professional experience in Android app development.
Proficiency in Kotlin and Java programming languages for Android.
Experience in publishing and managing apps on the Google Play Store.
In-depth understanding of object-oriented programming and Android app architecture.
Competence with third-party library, API, and mobile service integration.
Familiar with application monitoring tools, including Crashlytics, ANR reporting, and performance analytics.
Experience with product analytics and event tracking, preferably using Firebase Analytics or equivalent platforms.
Strong problem-solving skills, ability to produce reusable, maintainable, and well-tested code.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams.
Availability to work within GMT+2 to GMT+7 time zones.
Desirable: Experience working on streaming apps, knowledge of WebRTC and WebSocket technologies, and understanding of mobile UI/UX and visual design principles.
