APAC Physical Security Systems Administrator

Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled APAC Physical Security Systems Administrator to manage a large enterprise security setup for a leading global technology and entertainment firm. The role focuses on administration, configuration, upkeep, and enhancement of physical security systems, especially those involving Genetec Security Center, Synergis access control, and video surveillance platforms. This role demands a technical systems administrator experienced in supporting worldwide security operations, ensuring system robustness, diagnosing complex problems, and collaborating across teams to provide secure and scalable solutions.

The position is remote but requires residency in Singapore, with occasional travel to client premises about twice every quarter. This is a full-time role with competitive benefits.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and configure enterprise physical security systems emphasizing Genetec Security Center including Synergis Access Control and video surveillance.
• Set up new security devices, manage system expansions, upgrades, and operational improvements throughout APAC.
• Monitor overall system health, enhance availability, and promptly resolve issues affecting security infrastructure performance.
• Conduct advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis, firmware updates, system backups, log audits, and preventive maintenance.
• Handle service requests and incident management through ticketing systems ensuring timely resolution and proper documentation.
• Manage access control configurations, load sheets, Genetec programming, and maintain configurations to meet operational and project demands.
• Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, installers, and site stakeholders for maintenance and service support.
• Assist with system testing, commissioning, validation, punch list management, and acceptance procedures.
• Maintain detailed system documentation, service reports, and trackers for ongoing and special projects.
• Collaborate with global security technology teams to optimize system performance, standardize configurations, and advance enterprise security initiatives.

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum three years of experience managing, programming, and supporting enterprise physical security systems.
• Deep expertise with Genetec Security Center, particularly Synergis Access Control and video surveillance, including hands-on configuration and troubleshooting.
• Proven ability to manage multiple security service requests, maintenance operations, and deployment projects independently.
• Competence in troubleshooting cameras, access control panels, and integrated devices while liaising with field technicians and vendors.
• Knowledge of network and information security fundamentals such as LAN/WAN, IP addressing, DHCP, MAC filtering, VPN, firewalls, Active Directory domains, and coordination with network teams.
• Strong project management, organizational skills, and capacity to manage priorities and deliverables efficiently.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities to work with global teams, vendors, installers, and technology partners.
• Preferably holding Genetec Security Center certifications such as SC-STC-001 and/or SC-ETC-002.
