About the Role
Join Circle K's Store 2745149 located at 15327 S US Hwy 19, Thomasville, GA, as an Assistant Manager. This full-time position offers a dynamic work environment where you will support the Store Manager in ensuring smooth daily operations in a fast-paced retail setting. Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Store Manager in managing stationstore operations including hiring, supervising, and collaborating with staff to complete daily responsibilities.
- Maintain high operational standards and ensure prompt, friendly customer service.
- Oversee bookkeeping activities and merchandising efforts within the store.
- Lead and motivate employees, setting an example of urgency, patience, and effective leadership.
- Execute the store’s food program as per established quality standards.
- Ensure regular and reliable on-site attendance.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven leadership abilities in managing teams and operations.
- Experience with recruitment, interviewing, and hiring processes.
- Strong organizational, planning, and communication skills.
- Competency in cash handling and bookkeeping tasks.
- Effective problem-solving capabilities and ability to advocate for staff and customers.
- Knowledge of safety and security procedures in retail environments.
- Previous retail or management experience preferred.
- Experience with food handling is a plus.
- High school diploma or college degree preferred but not mandatory.
Physical Demands
- Ability to stand and walk up to 8 hours per shift.
- Lift or carry up to 30 pounds from floor to overhead for up to 30 minutes during a shift.
- Occasional lifting or carrying of up to 60 pounds from ground to waist level.
- Ability to push or pull up to 20 pounds using arms.
- Ability to bend and twist at the waist for up to an hour per shift.
- Perform hand coordination tasks, including reaching, grasping, and possibly climbing ladders to manage store materials and signage.
