The brand features flagship locations in prominent malls such as ION and Raffles City in Singapore, F88 in Kuala Lumpur, and Pitt Street in Sydney.
Role Summary
The Assistant Manager for Visual Merchandising holds a pivotal position in maintaining and elevating the Sephora Collection brand's visual presentation across the SEA region. This role focuses on the consistent execution of in-store visual displays and fixtures, aligning with brand goals and merchandising plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee Sephora Collection's visual merchandising execution region-wide.
- Collaborate with the Category Senior Manager to optimize visual display assortment, enhancing customer shopping experience and maximizing profitability per meter.
- Implement and assess merchandising projects against category objectives, providing creative strategies to boost brand visibility and sales.
- Manage seasonal planograms from their initial planning stages through execution across multiple countries.
- Coordinate and track grid procurement and deployment to retail outlets.
- Adapt planograms for Space Planning use, ensuring updates during product launch cycles for all seasons and configurations.
- Work closely with Global teams to tailor planograms suited to the SEA market specifications.
- Maintain planograms specifically for region-exclusive fixtures.
- Supervise timely updates of brand fixtures and planograms, ensuring forecasts are accurate and executions meet calendar deadlines.
- Provide guidance to country visual merchandising teams and vendors on approval of design proposals ensuring adherence to Sephora standards.
- Manage fixture merchandising for new store openings and seasonal refreshes throughout the SEA and Oceania regions and future expansions.
- Collaborate with countries and suppliers on fixture orders for store launches.
- Distribute fixture quotations to relevant countries for budget tracking and processing.
- Lead evaluations of vendor execution quality and manage the negotiation and implementation of fixture designs with the Global team when needed.
- Support new store openings by ensuring adequate fixture and element availability; collaborate with countries to innovate store concept projects.
- Ensure compliance with regional fixture updates and maintenance guidelines across countries.
- Oversee asset usage, propose necessary adjustments, and report on executed initiatives to management.
- Partner with regional visual merchandising and marketing teams to enhance Sephora Collection’s merchandising standards and in-store animations.
Qualifications & Skills
- At least 5 years of experience in visual merchandising, design, or managing store projects.
- Skilled in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Proficiency in Mandarin (reading and speaking) is advantageous due to vendor base in China.
- Educational background in design, arts, or retail merchandising (degree or diploma).
- Experience working within the Southeast Asia region is preferred.
- Strong communication and relationship management capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage projects and deliver results.
