Associate Planner - Merchandise

Position Overview

The Associate Planner plays a crucial role in supporting the Planning and Sales teams through detailed analysis and precise execution. This position offers the chance to collaborate with eminent activewear brands and leading retailers. Key Responsibilities

• Support creating sales, inventory, and receipt ladder plans to meet both internal and external annual budgets.
• Engage regularly with customer planners and buyers to discuss sales results, receipts, and inventory plans.
• Evaluate product performance data to refine sales plans and advise on product mix adjustments.
• Scrutinize internal inventory and ordering reports to decide weekly and monthly purchase quantities, ensure smooth inventory flow, and maintain optimal safety stock.
• Review production schedules at order time to ensure shipment deadlines aligned with customer requirements are met.
• Coordinate weekly with the allocation team to guarantee appropriate SKUs are ordered by customers according to the business plan and existing inventory.
• Pinpoint opportunities to enhance sales and inventory management during holiday seasons, promotions, or product end-of-life clearances.
• Deliver ad hoc analytical reports to assist in progressing business goals and resolving emergent issues.
• Foster ongoing collaboration with stakeholders across Planning, Sales, and Production departments.
• Consistently bring a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and adaptability to manage the demands of a dynamic, fast-moving workplace.
• Maintain excellent organization to efficiently juggle various department needs and complexities.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience.
• Advanced Excel expertise, including use of SUMIFs, PivotTables, VLOOKUPs/XLOOKUPs.
• Experience with SAP software is advantageous.
• Previous Walmart retail experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with Power BI is beneficial.
• Strong multitasking and prioritization skills to thrive in a high-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in collaborative team settings.
• Excellent oral and written communication capabilities.

Compensation

The annual salary starts at $75,000, with the final offer depending on the candidate’s experience. The stated salary does not include the entire compensation package. Additional benefits will be discussed during the interview process by the Human Resources team.
