Overview

This role, based in the United States, supports government modernization by assisting organizations in upgrading their technology operations to improve public service delivery. You will engage in projects involving AI adoption, software rollouts, IT governance, cybersecurity, and operational enhancements while collaborating with government partners, tech vendors, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, researching, and executing technology-focused transformation initiatives including AI pilots, software implementations, governance projects, and process improvements.
• Perform qualitative and quantitative research using interviews, surveys, process maps, and policy analysis to identify challenges and opportunities.
• Produce project deliverables such as work plans, charters, dashboards, reports, documentation, training materials, communication aids, and prototypes.
• Design and test low-code/no-code applications, AI-enabled technologies, and digital workflows to boost organizational efficiency.
• Lead workshops, coaching, and meetings with government and nonprofit stakeholders.
• Support implementation by diagnosing issues, developing solutions, and guiding partner adoption of new technologies.
• Manage timelines, priorities, deliverables, and stakeholder communications remotely.
• Stay informed about trends in government tech, new products, AI capabilities, and innovative operational methods.
• Develop relationships with government leaders, technology providers, entrepreneurs, and community groups.
• Represent the organization at events, sharing insights and lessons from projects.
• Contribute to public resources, templates, research papers, and best practice compilations.
• Assess emerging technologies and advise on usability, performance, and business impact.
• Engage in internal operational improvements and help expand technology services.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with relevant certifications.
• Over three years’ experience in government technology, public sector consulting, or related technology implementation roles.
• Familiarity with software rollouts, AI pilot projects, or digital transformations in government or enterprise settings.
• Awareness of state and local government functions such as permitting, licensing, budgeting, HR, or administration.
• Proven project management skills capable of juggling priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders independently.
• Strong communication skills, including writing and editing for diverse audiences.
• Ability to deconstruct complex issues and create practical, creative scalable solutions.
• Experience with Agile, Scrum, backlog management, or product roadmapping is advantageous.
• Knowledge of UX research/design and tools like Figma or Miro is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
• Use of collaboration platforms like Zoom, MailChimp, and Miro.
• Experience responsibly using generative AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Copilot.
• Capability to test and evaluate technology solutions, analyze feedback, and recommend improvements.
• Strong curiosity for emerging tech and eagerness to learn new platforms and methods.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to build trust, collaborate, and facilitate change.
• Willingness to travel approximately six times per year.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
