AutoCAD Designer - Fire Fighting & Plumbing

Overview

Upalaksh Venture is seeking a meticulous AutoCAD Designer specialized in Fire Fighting and Plumbing systems. The role involves producing precise 2D drawings and layouts that adhere to project specifications and standards while collaborating closely with engineering and site teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed AutoCAD drawings focused on Fire Fighting and Plumbing system elements.
• Design layouts for components such as hydrants, sprinklers, hose reels, pump rooms, water supply, drainage, and sewerage.
• Develop schematic, riser, sectional, and isometric diagrams.
• Coordinate with architectural, structural, electrical, and HVAC teams to prevent design conflicts.
• Revise drawings based on feedback from consultants, clients, and on-site teams.
• Prepare various technical drawings including shop drawings, general arrangement, as-built, and BOQ support documents.
• Maintain and update drawing records and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assist with technical submissions, tender documentation, and participate in design coordination meetings.
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards such as NBC, IS Codes, and NFPA guidelines.

Candidate Requirements

• Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D; familiarity with AutoCAD 3D is beneficial.
• Understanding of Fire Fighting and Plumbing system design and layouts.
• Ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings.
• Knowledge of MEP coordination and construction drawing standards.
• Competency in MS Office applications.
• Experience with Revit MEP or BIM is advantageous.
• Strong detail orientation and problem-solving capabilities.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should possess a Diploma or ITI in Civil, Mechanical, or Draftsman trades, or a B.E./B.Tech degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering. Experience ranges from fresh candidates with excellent AutoCAD skills up to professionals with 1-3 years in Fire Fighting and Plumbing drafting/design.
