Role Overview

Bluebird Care Durham North is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join their team in St Helens, Tasmania. This role involves supporting individuals to live comfortably and with dignity in their own homes by offering personalized care and assistance with daily living activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver person-centered, high-quality care tailored to individual needs.
• Assist clients with personal hygiene routines such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Help with meal preparation, ensuring proper nutrition.
• Support clients with medication management, including administration and safe disposal.
• Perform light household tasks, including tidying, laundry, and general cleaning.
• Establish reliable, friendly relationships as a familiar and supportive presence for clients.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Possession of a valid UK driving license and access to a personal vehicle is essential.
• Kindness, compassion, and a calm demeanor when providing care.
• Excellent communication abilities to foster positive connections.
• Capability to adhere to established care plans effectively.
• Previous experience in care is advantageous but not mandatory; comprehensive training will be provided.

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary range between £18,200 and £23,660 annually based on a 35-hour workweek, dependent on experience and aligned with National Minimum Wage standards.
• Hourly pay ranges from £13.00 to £13.20.
