Job Overview
This role plays an essential part in delivering exceptional customer service by efficiently and accurately handling checkout and return transactions. It also involves supervising the Self-Checkout area to ensure smooth operation and assisting customers by sharing product knowledge and identifying sales possibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide quick, courteous, and precise service to customers during checkout and return processes.
- Oversee and maintain order in the Self-Checkout station.
- Gain and share insightful information about products and projects to better assist customers and encourage sales.
- Adhere strictly to company policies to reduce losses and prevent shrinkage.
Head Cashier Specific Duties
- Organize and assign Cashiers to tasks effectively.
- Support Cashiers by facilitating price checks and authorizing transactions and markdowns across various points such as main registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental.
- Handle initial customer complaints and provide on-the-spot resolutions.
- Contribute to coaching and supervising Front End Associates, including training new Cashiers and utilizing available coaching tools to enhance their performance.
Qualifications
The ideal Head Cashier candidate will have at least one year of prior Cashier experience.
