Primary Responsibilities
- Confirm patient details such as medical history and the reason for their visit through effective communication.
- Prepare patients for clinical examination by conducting initial physical assessments including measurements of blood pressure, weight, and temperature.
- Accurately document patient data on charts and within Salesforce systems.
- Ensure confidentiality and security of patient records by properly handling medical documentation.
- Relay physicians’ instructions and respond to patient inquiries concerning their surgical procedures.
- Assist in organizing charts, pre-admission paperwork, and consent documentation.
- Maintain a safe and compliant work environment by adhering to established protocols and legal requirements.
- Manage inventory levels for clinical supplies as necessary.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Completion of High School education or equivalent diploma.
- Strong verbal and written communication capabilities.
- Preferred knowledge in medical terminology.
- Current, valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification maintenance.
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is advantageous.
Additional Regional Requirement
Candidates applying from Las Vegas must either hold or be willing to obtain a Laboratory Assistant License as mandated by the Nevada Department of Health & Human Services Division of Public and Behavioral Health.
