Role Overview
The Clinical Technology Specialist is key to ensuring advanced surgical equipment is expertly utilized. Comprehensive training is provided to instill confidence and proficiency needed to succeed in this position.
Primary Responsibilities
- Prepare and operate surgical technologies, offering technical support to surgeons and staff before and during procedures.
- Complete preoperative checklists, sterilize equipment, perform calibrations, and document all processes.
- Transport surgical technologies between healthcare facilities, requiring daily driving and occasional overnight travel.
- Adhere to safety protocols including vehicle operation, workplace safety, and laser safety measures.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, maintaining strong professional relationships with both ForTec colleagues and healthcare partners.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Flexible to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and overnight travel as needed.
- Professional attitude with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
- Basic competence with computers and smartphones.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid U.S. driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Physical capability to handle medical equipment exceeding 50 pounds.
- Ability to frequently bend, stoop, sit, and stand for extended periods.
- Eligibility to meet healthcare facility credentialing requirements including immunizations, and possibly health screenings, background checks, and drug tests as legally permitted.
Preferred Attributes
- Prior experience in medical, EMT, surgical technology, or military fields is advantageous for a smooth transition.
- Experience managing long hours, irregular schedules, and a willingness to learn; training will be provided.
