The Contingent Labour Office (CLO) partners with business units to provide a swift, client-focused approach for engaging external resources, simultaneously balancing business needs with risk mitigation. This is achieved by maintaining skilled contingent workforce practitioners, acting as trusted advisors who challenge norms and offer innovative solutions, and delivering a customer-oriented experience that minimizes administrative burdens while fostering strong collaborations with Hiring Managers.
The role offers virtual work opportunities across Canada, requiring possible monthly in-office presence for company meetings.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise and guide Hiring Managers by applying technical expertise in managing engagement processes for external resources throughout their contract lifecycle.
- Utilize available technologies to enhance CLO processes, user experience, and team resource allocation.
- Drive process optimization and maintain updated documentation relevant to internal and external stakeholders.
- Promote CLO’s brand using a customer-centric approach while acting as a subject-matter expert and trusted advisor.
- Conduct intake meetings with Hiring Managers, provide training on vendor management systems, and manage external resource case information.
- Perform due diligence on contractors, including history checks and compliance assessments.
- Maintain continuous communication with stakeholders about the status of their engagements.
- Manage and document case information for reporting, compliance audits, and analytics.
- Identify and escalate complex cases appropriately; collaborate with team members to meet business needs.
- Respond to ad hoc inquiries by providing education, clarification, and directing requests suitably.
- Lead or support initiatives aimed at internal process improvements and change management activities.
- Maintain and update SOPs, templates, and knowledge articles, and educate relevant teams on new or updated processes.
- Stay informed on contingent workforce-related policies, legislation, and practices.
Qualifications & Experience
- 3 to 5 years of experience in case management roles.
- Exposure to agencies, staffing firms, contract labor, or contingent workforce management is advantageous.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; bilingualism in English and French is preferred.
- Proven ability to engage with diverse stakeholders, including senior partners, contractors, service providers, and subject-matter experts.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while delivering timely, quality outcomes.
- Strong organizational and multitasking capabilities.
- Keen interest in continuous improvement and conducting impact analyses.
- Experience leading process-driven operational initiatives.
- Comfortable working with multiple technologies and leveraging them for process enhancements.
- Experience with vendor management systems such as Flextrack or Beeline is a plus.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, notably Excel; experience with ServiceNow is also beneficial.
- A college or university degree in a related field is required.
Additional Information
This role requires proficiency in English for effective collaboration and communication. The base salary ranges from $55,000 to $82,000 depending on the candidate's location, skill set, and qualifications, with eligibility for bonus awards. KPMG offers a comprehensive Total Rewards program.
