About the Role
The United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON), serving as the UN headquarters in Africa, is recruiting an International UN Volunteer Specialist to enhance its Information and Communications Technology Services (ICTS) team. Located in Nairobi, this position aims to fortify client relations, promote ICT offerings, foster business collaborations, and aid in implementing strategic technology solutions across the UN system in East Africa.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and sustain robust relationships with both internal and external clients.
- Lead marketing and outreach efforts for ICT services, including stakeholder engagement activities.
- Identify and understand client requirements to translate them into efficient ICT solutions.
- Develop, track, and report on service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Evaluate service performance, costs, trends, and customer feedback, aiming for ongoing service improvements.
- Support business analytics, reporting, budgeting, cost recovery, and financial planning processes.
- Organize workshops, training sessions, presentations, and facilitate initiatives that manage change effectively.
- Coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure smooth service delivery, product management, and strategic ICT project execution.
Qualifications and Experience
- A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, International Relations, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- At least five years of pertinent experience in business management, product management, customer relationship management, IT service management, or related fields.
- Comprehensive knowledge of ICT products and services, with familiarity in ITIL-based practices.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word.
- Experience utilizing business intelligence tools, dashboards, reporting platforms, and data analysis techniques.
- Excellent abilities in managing stakeholders, communication, negotiation, and presentation.
- Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in additional official UN languages is considered a plus.

UN Volunteers dedicate full-time professional expertise and receive a benefits package including a monthly living allowance (MLA) to maintain a stable standard of living at their posting.
The current monthly living allowance ranges from US$ 2,765 to US$ 3,215.
