About the Role
Somtrade Limited, based at Mombasa Port, is looking for a warm and efficient Customer Care/Receptionist to join their Container Freight Station operations team in Mombasa. The successful candidate will play a vital role in handling front desk activities and ensuring smooth communication with customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage front desk operations efficiently, welcoming visitors and addressing their inquiries promptly.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding to customer needs with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Handle calls and correspondence related to logistics and freight operations.
- Coordinate and support logistics activities within the Container Freight Station environment.
Minimum Requirements
- Completion of high school education is essential; additional certifications in customer service will be an advantage.
- Between one to two years of experience in customer service, with preference given to those familiar with logistics or Container Freight Station functions.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with customers and team members.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a dynamic work setting.
- Basic knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software is required.
- Understanding of logistics operations, including import and export procedures, is beneficial.
- A customer-centric mindset focused on providing outstanding service consistently.
