Role Purpose

The role entails the strategic design and management of control systems encompassing hardware, software, telecommunications, infrastructure, and information. It involves setting testing strategies, standards, and practices for enterprise platforms or large organizational facets. The developer will coordinate with architecture, infrastructure, and production support teams to ensure process adherence and consistency. Additionally, the role mandates implementing quality and environmental management practices, overseeing process improvements, maintaining quality standards, and supervising quality/testing activities of third-party collaborators.

Scope and Responsibilities

• Act as a subject matter expert across one or multiple technical domains.
• Design and deliver new system components or enhancements that fulfill business goals while balancing risk, performance, and cost in alignment with established strategies and policies.
• Ensure component interoperability within broader systems.
• Define technical requirements for internal and third-party IT providers to meet business and technical needs.
• Develop and participate in non-functional testing strategies (such as performance, scalability, availability, reliability) and review outcomes to guarantee system effectiveness.
• Function autonomously under general guidance, bearing full responsibility for assigned technical work or projects and delegating tasks as necessary.
• Influence organizational units, customers, suppliers, and peers within the specialization, bearing significant responsibility for resource allocation and team outputs.
• Engage with complex and varied technical activities, applying foundational principles across broad and dynamic contexts while linking specialist work to wider organizational requirements.
• Leverage best practices and industry insights to enhance products and services and mentor less experienced colleagues.
• Ensure adherence to design principles and guidelines within major organizational areas and propose updates to improve standards.
• Contribute significantly to technical deliveries, balancing features, cost, timelines, risks, and operational considerations.
• Participate in technical reviews, manage technical risks with appropriate mitigation plans, escalating critical issues when needed.
• Manage technical relationships with internal teams and external IT service providers.
• Assist in project planning and provide progress updates.
