Role and Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain sophisticated Digital Twin applications for smart cities, industrial, manufacturing, infrastructure, and enterprise domains using Unreal Engine.
- Create immersive, real-time 3D visualization environments leveraging Unreal Engine 5 with an emphasis on optimized rendering and performance.
- Implement interactive simulations via Blueprint Visual Scripting and C++ to enable dynamic user interactions and workflows.
- Build scalable Digital Twin pipelines using OpenUSD (Universal Scene Description) to ensure interoperability among various 3D platforms.
- Manage complex USD components such as stages, layers, variants, payloads, references, and composition workflows.
- Develop and tailor Digital Twin solutions using NVIDIA Omniverse that support collaborative real-time visualization and simulation.
- Configure and administer Omniverse applications including Nucleus, Composer, Kit, and various extensions.
- Construct collaborative multi-user Digital Twin environments using Omniverse technologies.
- Create robotics and autonomous system simulations utilizing NVIDIA Isaac Sim, configuring robot assets, sensors like Camera, LiDAR, IMU, GPS, alongside physics and environmental factors.
- Simulate robotic functionalities including navigation, perception, localization, obstacle avoidance, and autonomous operations within Isaac Sim.
- Integrate Digital Twin applications with IoT devices, telemetry, APIs, and enterprise platforms for comprehensive data synchronization.
- Develop real-time monitoring dashboards for assets, sensor inputs, and operational analytics.
- Import and optimize data from BIM, CAD, GIS, LiDAR, and point cloud sources into Digital Twin setups.
- Optimize 3D assets including materials, textures, lighting, and technologies such as Nanite and Lumen for superior visualization performance.
- Create reusable Blueprints, components, plugins, and modular frameworks in Unreal Engine.
- Implement key Unreal Engine features like animation systems, level streaming, world partitioning, procedural content generation, and interactive workflows.
- Collaborate closely with AI/ML teams to incorporate computer vision, predictive analytics, and AI-driven simulation elements.
- Work with GIS, BIM, IoT, and Data Engineering teams to build comprehensive, end-to-end Digital Twin ecosystems.
- Integrate communication protocols including REST APIs, WebSockets, MQTT, and OPC-UA for real-time data synchronization.
- Develop simulation scenarios focused on emergency response, traffic control, manufacturing processes, logistics, and asset surveillance.
- Identify and resolve issues related to rendering, simulation accuracy, synchronization, and overall system performance.
- Ensure Digital Twin applications are scalable, maintainable, and adhere to software engineering best practices.
- Participate in architectural design discussions, code reviews, sprint planning, and Agile development processes.
- Document technical designs, simulation workflows, deployment approaches, and user manuals.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies including Unreal Engine, NVIDIA Omniverse, OpenUSD, Isaac Sim, AI, XR, and other Digital Twin platforms.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrable expertise with Unreal Engine 5 development and architecture.
- Proficient with Blueprint Visual Scripting and C++ programming within Unreal Engine.
- Experience utilizing NVIDIA Omniverse Platform for real-time collaboration.
- Strong understanding of OpenUSD workflows and pipeline creation.
- Hands-on experience with NVIDIA Isaac Sim for robotics and simulation tasks.
- Familiarity with Python scripting for automating tasks within Omniverse or Isaac Sim.
- Ability to integrate IoT, GIS, BIM, CAD, or enterprise data sources into Digital Twin applications.
- Knowledge of robotics simulation, autonomous systems, and AI-based simulation environments.
- Expertise optimizing large-scale, complex 3D visualization environments.
- Understanding of advanced rendering techniques including Nanite, Lumen, Ray Tracing, and real-time visualization.
- Experience integrating communication protocols such as REST APIs, WebSockets, MQTT, and OPC-UA.
- Exposure to cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform for Digital Twin deployments.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging capabilities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams.
