About the Role

Join the Operations department as a Drafter, acting as a crucial link between design concepts and their physical realization. You will collaborate closely with homeowners and construction teams to develop accurate technical drawings that serve as precise guidelines for building projects. This role demands expertise in material properties, proficiency with drafting software, and a strong dedication to technical accuracy while contributing effectively to the design team.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality drawings within tight deadlines consistently.
• Provide daily updates to leadership regarding project statuses.
• Manage 6 to 8 projects simultaneously.
• Convert abstract design ideas into exact, code-compliant construction documentation.
• Maintain flawless title blocks, scale markings, aligned notes, and uniform dimension strings across all drawings.
• Ensure all drawings meet American building standards, as well as local and state building regulations.
• Accurately incorporate revisions and feedback from clients and team members.
• Work collaboratively with homeowners, builders, and the design team throughout project lifecycles.
• Identify and report potential design or documentation issues proactively to avoid delays.

Requirements and Expertise

• Advanced skills in AutoCAD LT and drafting using imperial measurements.
• Ability to transform abstract designs into precise, legally sound construction documents.
• Meticulous execution of title blocks, scales, annotations, and dimension consistency.
• Solid knowledge of American building codes and standards.
• Basic understanding of relevant local ordinances and state codes.
• Forward-thinking and proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Proficient English communication skills for effective collaboration.
