Endur Developer

Role overview

An Abu Dhabi-based organization in the Oil & Energy sector is seeking seasoned Openlink Endur specialists to contribute to an ETRM/CTRM program. The role is suited to professionals with practical experience in Endur development and a solid grasp of commodity and energy trading operations, including how front, middle, and back-office functions connect across the trade lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, tailor, and improve Openlink Endur solutions for oil and energy trading workflows.
• Support processes spanning front office, middle office, and back office within ETRM/CTRM environments.
• Develop and maintain Endur components using JVS, AVS, OpenComponents, Java, SQL, PL/SQL, and related tools.
• Create custom scripts, plugins, reports, workflows, interfaces, and operational services.
• Handle areas such as trade capture, deal lifecycle, scheduling, nominations, settlements, invoicing, credit risk, market risk, reporting, and end-of-day processing.
• Work closely with business analysts, traders, schedulers, risk specialists, and technical teams to deliver scalable Endur solutions.
• Take part in requirement analysis, technical design, development, testing, UAT assistance, and deployment activities.

Required skills and experience

• Strong practical experience with Openlink Endur / ION Endur.
• Background in ETRM/CTRM, ideally across oil, gas, power, LNG, crude, refined products, or broader energy trading.
• Hands-on technical knowledge in one or more of JVS, AVS, OpenComponents, Core Java, SQL/PLSQL, Oracle, Report Builder, Connex, cMotion/gMotion, TPM, and Endur scripting/customization.
• Clear understanding of the trade lifecycle and front-office, middle-office, and back-office processes.
• Experience in Endur implementation, upgrades, migrations, custom development, support, or enhancement work.
• Strong analytical thinking, troubleshooting ability, and communication skills.

Preferred background

• Exposure to Endur version upgrades such as V16, V19, V25, or comparable releases.
• Experience moving solutions from AVS to JVS.
• Previous involvement in greenfield Endur implementation programs.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Git, Jira, Maven, SonarQube, or Agile delivery methods.
• Prior work with Oil & Gas or energy trading clients.
• Experience on projects in the Middle East, Abu Dhabi, or the UAE would be beneficial.
