Key Responsibilities

• Manage procurement and supply-related tasks under defined guidelines, initially handling Engineering items, Quality Control (QC), and Research & Development (R&D) lab purchase orders, mainly liaising with North America requestors during their EST time zone.
• Issue purchase orders from purchase requisitions using SAP and other procurement portals, maintaining accuracy in system data.
• Engage in supplier negotiations under supervision, fostering relationships and contributing to cost reduction initiatives through contract closures and alternatives.
• Coordinate with departments including Engineering, R&D, QC, and Administration to ensure smooth procurement operations.
• Drive continuous improvement by suggesting efficiency measures to enhance procurement processes and workflows.
• Take responsibility for laboratory procurement (Opex, spares, consumables, reference standards, outside lab tests), engineering procurement, and administrative procurement.
• Stay updated with innovations in the pharmaceutical field through professional learning and apply knowledge to procurement practices.

Candidate Requirements

• Associate or Bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant procurement experience.
• Proficient in English communication.
• Good command of Microsoft Word, Excel, and SAP systems.
• Strong negotiation skills, understanding of logistics and payments control.
• Capability to train colleagues, manage multiple priorities, and perform effectively under pressure.
• Ability to work in alignment with North American buyers' time zones.
• Demonstrated initiative in contributing to procurement-related projects and process improvements.
