About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Expert Software Engineer recognized as a top subject matter authority and advanced individual contributor within the engineering discipline. This position demands substantial technical expertise, architectural leadership, and a proactive role in enhancing engineering practices across multiple teams. You will be instrumental in designing and evolving sophisticated, critical business applications in finance and KYC/AML domains, influencing platform direction, guiding design patterns, and mentoring engineers organization-wide.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership as a domain expert in .NET technologies, distributed systems, API design, and cloud-native architectures.
• Architect and develop high-performance Web APIs, microservices, and event-driven systems.
• Collaborate with architects to establish platform blueprints, coding standards, and long-term technical strategies.
• Make key architectural decisions with a focus on scalability, security, and performance.
• Promote engineering excellence through rigorous code quality, optimization, and adoption of best practices.
• Lead AI-driven innovation by integrating AI, LLMs, and agentic workflows into development, QA, and DevOps processes.
• Design AI-powered agents to automate testing, performance analysis, security scanning (SAST/DAST), and workflow efficiencies.
• Quantify AI impact by improving delivery speed, reducing development cycles, and increasing test coverage.
• Coach teams on advanced AI topics including prompt engineering, retrieval augmented generation, semantic search, and vector databases.
• Effectively communicate AI concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders to foster adoption and refine organizational AI strategy.
• Utilize AI tools such as Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Copilot, Claude, Cursor, and agent frameworks like LangChain.
• Manage complex software development projects spanning multiple microservices and architectures with a focus on system reliability and maintainability.
• Conduct in-depth code reviews, performance tuning, and architectural evaluations.
• Tackle challenging technical problems, including API design, SQL query optimization, and scaling cloud services.
• Mentor senior software engineers, sharing expertise on advanced design patterns and system thinking.
• Oversee full software development lifecycle activities to ensure quality delivery and operational observability.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to product, architecture, and leadership teams, shaping technology decisions and engineering culture.
• Foster a culture of innovation, ownership, and continuous improvement by leading through example.

Required Skills and Experience

• 10 to 14+ years of professional experience in software engineering preferably within financial services or KYC/AML domains.
• Expert proficiency with C#, .NET Core, Web API, LINQ, Entity Framework, MVC, and microservices architecture.
• Strong full-stack skills with expertise in JavaScript frameworks such as React or Angular.
• Advanced skills in SQL performance tuning and working with complex multi-tiered software systems.
• In-depth understanding of SOLID principles, design patterns, and architectural best practices.
• Experience designing and managing large-scale, cloud-native, distributed systems.
• Practical knowledge of Microsoft Azure services including Function Apps, API Management, App Services, and building DevOps pipelines.
• Proven ability to design scalable, resilient, and secure cloud-native architectures.
• Advanced understanding of AI and agentic development: experience with LLM architectures, prompt engineering, retrieval augmented generation, semantic search, vector databases, and AI agent frameworks.
• Hands-on experience building AI agents for software development automation, QA testing, performance analytics, and security automation.
• Familiarity with AI platforms such as Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI Service, and frameworks like LangChain.
• Capability to demonstrate clear ROI from AI implementations by optimizing SDLC processes.
• Excellent communication skills to translate complex AI and software engineering concepts for diverse audiences including executives and non-technical teams.
• Recognized as a respected technical leader and mentor with experience uplifting senior engineers.
• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science or related field is preferred.

Working Conditions

• Work mode: Hybrid with fixed shifts from 12 PM to 9 PM IST.
