Fees Verification Officer

About the Role

This position is part of the Ministry of Home Affairs’ Civilian Generalist career track, focusing on verifying fees related to fire safety plan approvals within prescribed deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and accurately calculate fees for various plan submissions, including Building Plans, Mechanical & Electrical Plans, and Fire Protection Plans.
• Issue notices to Qualified Persons or applicants when there is a shortfall in plan fee payments.
• Send follow-up reminders if there is no response to outstanding fee notices.
• Respond promptly to enquiries from the public and Qualified Persons concerning fee calculations and related matters.
• Ensure all plan fee verifications are completed within set timeframes and resolve any discrepancies diligently.
• Carry out any additional duties assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications and Skills Required

• Proficient in reading and interpreting Building, Mechanical & Electrical, and Fire Protection plans for diverse occupancy types and project scales.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with Qualified Persons and the public.
• High attention to detail and thoroughness in verifying plan fees.
