File Clerk

Position Overview

Carlton Fields is currently looking for an experienced File Clerk to join their Tampa office. Candidates should have at least two years of relevant filing experience, ideally in a legal environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update client files and records daily.
• Manage electronic filing of legal documents using the firm's document management system.
• Track and upload federal and state notices and filings as required.
• Initiate file creation for new client matters.
• Scan client documents and records into the electronic filing system.
• Assist in closing client files following the firm's set procedures.
• Serve as a backup support for other File Clerks when necessary.

Candidate Profile

Ideal applicants should be proactive, adaptable, and capable of multitasking with strong prioritization skills based on business demands. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential along with outstanding organizational abilities and a commitment to customer service. Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and electronic document management systems is advantageous.
