Finance Manager

Role Purpose

The Finance Manager plays a critical role in steering the company's financial and accounting functions. Responsibilities encompass ensuring accurate financial records, facilitating effective budgeting, managing treasury operations, and enforcing stringent financial controls. The role supports strong financial governance, regulatory adherence, operational efficiency, and strategic planning while continually improving finance processes.

Main Duties

• Supervise accounting processes including general ledger upkeep, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closures.
• Prepare timely and precise financial statements, management reports, analyses, and statutory documents aligned with standards and policies.
• Assist in crafting and implementing annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and financial plans, while overseeing budget performance.
• Evaluate financial outcomes, budget use, spending patterns, cash flow, and financial deviations, recommending corrective steps as needed.
• Manage treasury functions such as cash flow prediction, liquidity management, bank reconciliations, payment scheduling, and working capital optimization.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable, collections, supplier payments, and customer receivables to ensure financial discipline.
• Maintain the accuracy and transparency of accounting records and financial transactions.
• Set up and monitor financial controls, policies, approval processes, and governance to reduce financial risks.
• Conduct financial viability studies, cost assessments, and evaluations supporting operational and investment decisions.
• Collaborate with various departments to guarantee financial alignment, cost control, and reporting accuracy.
• Manage internal and external audits, ensuring timely corrective actions on identified issues.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax, zakat, corporate governance, and relevant regulations.
• Detect financial risks and discrepancies, applying measures to mitigate them effectively.
• Drive enhancements in ERP, financial systems, report automation, and finance process improvements.
• Develop financial dashboards, KPI reports, reconciliations, and tools to enhance business insight and decision-making.
• Lead and mentor a skilled finance team, encouraging accountability, cooperation, and ongoing development.
• Support succession and capability development along with performance management in finance.
• Foster a culture emphasizing financial integrity, governance, operational excellence, and data-driven decisions.

Qualifications & Experience

• Earned a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related fields.
• MBA or Master's degree in Finance or Accounting considered a plus.
• Holds preferred professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, ACCA, CFA, SOCPA, or equivalents.
• Brings at least 8 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or financial management roles.
• Experience in industries such as real estate, construction, contracting, infrastructure, manufacturing, or other asset-themed sectors is highly valued.
• Possesses deep knowledge of financial reporting standards, budgeting, treasury, ERP systems, compliance, and internal control frameworks.
