Role Summary

We are looking for a skilled and adaptable Handyperson to join our maintenance team at Spring Hill, Australia. This role involves managing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure that all hotel facilities remain in excellent working condition. The ideal candidate should be detail-focused, efficient, and well-equipped to tackle diverse maintenance challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out general maintenance and repairs, including carpentry, plumbing, and basic electrical work
• Perform high-quality painting on both interior and exterior surfaces
• Regularly inspect buildings and equipment to detect and resolve maintenance issues
• Prepare surfaces for repair or enhancement through cleaning, sanding, and priming
• Install and fix fixtures, fittings, and furniture as needed
• Maintain and organize tools and equipment to ensure readiness
• Address maintenance requests promptly and professionally
• Follow safety protocols and maintain tidy, safe work areas
• Work collaboratively with fellow maintenance staff and external contractors
• Provide assistance with groundskeeping and landscaping duties when required
• Record all completed tasks and update maintenance documentation accurately

Qualifications & Skills

• Demonstrable experience in a handyperson or similar maintenance capacity
• Competency in multiple maintenance skills such as carpentry, plumbing, and painting
• Basic electrical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues
• Proficient and safe use of hand and power tools
• Strong problem-solving capabilities and keen attention to detail
• Excellent organizational skills and effective time management
• Knowledge of safety standards and correct use of personal protective equipment
• Willingness to occasionally work during evenings or weekends
• Education level of high school diploma or equivalent is preferred
