Role Overview
Join our team as a Home Delivery Driver in Halifax, where you will play a vital role in bringing groceries directly to customers' doors. This fast-paced and dynamic position is integral to our store's commitment to excellent service and community connection, combining safe driving with customer interaction and in-store support.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a 3.5 tonne van to deliver groceries punctually and in excellent condition to customers.
- Ensure the delivery vehicle is organized, clean, and mechanically sound before each journey, verifying that all delivery cases are safely secured.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, managing substitutions, and communicating any potential delays.
- Develop thorough knowledge of product offerings, promotions, and services to offer recommendations to customers.
- Assist with various store duties when not actively engaged in deliveries.
Qualifications & Eligibility
- Applicants must be over 18 years old with a full UK or EU driving license held for at least 12 months and no more than 6 points on their license.
- Successful completion of an online driving risk assessment and a subsequent driving evaluation upon joining.
- Eligibility to work in the UK is mandatory.
