Role Overview
Join the Hutt City Council as an HR Advisor working closely with HR Business Partners to deliver operational human resource support. This role involves partnering with management to provide comprehensive HR guidance, playing an active role in organizational initiatives, and ensuring HR practices are effective, practical, and centered on people.
Key Responsibilities
- Offer daily HR advice and support throughout the employee lifecycle.
- Assist leaders in recruitment, performance management, compensation, and employment-related matters.
- Participate in organisational change efforts and human resource projects.
- Support People & Capability programs such as engagement surveys and remuneration reviews.
- Continuously evaluate and enhance HR policies, procedures, and systems.
- Develop and maintain strong, trusted relationships with management and staff across the Council.
Candidate Profile

- Proven experience in a broad HR generalist capacity.
- Comprehensive knowledge of New Zealand employment laws and HR best practices.

- Exceptional organizational abilities capable of balancing multiple priorities.
- A cooperative stance and dedication to continual improvement.
