About the Role
We are searching for a skilled Inbound Logistics Manager to strengthen our client's international food industry company. This position involves oversight of the inbound supply chain with a focus on transport management to ensure delivery reliability and product availability.
Key Responsibilities
- Full responsibility for planning, coordinating, and monitoring all inbound transport activities.
- Maintaining high delivery performance and ensuring consistent stock availability.
- Managing international temperature-controlled shipments.
- Ensuring compliance with quality standards and cold chain requirements continuously.
- Proactively identifying logistical risks and implementing appropriate countermeasures.
- Handling escalations promptly during supply shortages or sudden changes.
- Analyzing and continuously improving inbound supply chain processes.
- Building and managing a robust network of national and international transportation providers.
- Ensuring adequate transport capacity, especially during seasonal peak periods.
- Conducting price negotiations and coordinating loading windows and transport concepts.
- Developing and maintaining long-term partnerships with logistics service providers.
- Collaborating closely with international production partners on production releases, readiness for shipment, transport planning, short-term volume adjustments, and delivery prioritization.
- Coordinating interfaces among production, transportation, and warehouse teams effectively.
Candidate Profile
- Degree or commercial training focused on logistics, supply chain management, or an equivalent qualification.
- Several years of professional experience in international transport or supply chain management.
- Experience with temperature-controlled food transports is advantageous.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a structured and independent working approach.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Confident negotiation skills and excellent communication.
- Proven experience in establishing long-term business partnerships.
- Confident demeanor when interacting with international business partners.
- Fluent German and good English language skills.
