Position Overview

As an Inventory Planner at Grove Collaborative, you will ensure that products are available at the right time, place, and quantity. This role requires passion for AI-driven planning and strong analytical skills to leverage these tools effectively. You will manage replenishment across a large SKU variety and two fulfillment centers in a dynamic eCommerce setting. Success in managing complex inventory with modern forecasting platforms is vital.

Key Responsibilities

Use AI-enhanced demand forecasting tools to analyze sales predictions and make purchasing decisions that optimize sales, turnover, and stock levels for a diverse product range.
Manage supplier settings and replenishment parameters within planning and ERP systems, investigate forecasting anomalies, and adjust to improve accuracy.
Track inventory KPIs, develop proactive corrective strategies, and maintain analytical reports that suggest actionable next steps, using tools like Looker and Excel.
Collaborate with Merchandising, Marketing, suppliers, Billing, and Accounting to ensure inventory strategies and order commitments align.
Oversee order processes from purchase order submission through warehouse receipt and recommend inventory transfers between locations based on demand.
Lead continuous enhancements in planning systems, data accuracy, and processes, including piloting AI applications like anomaly detection and automated reorder triggers.

Qualifications

4 to 6 years’ experience in inventory planning and procurement within digitally native direct-to-consumer or eCommerce businesses, managing large and fast-moving assortments.
Practical knowledge of demand forecasting platforms such as Relex, Toolio, Anaplan or equivalents, with enthusiasm for adopting emerging planning technologies.
Proficiency in applying AI techniques including demand sensing, automated replenishment, and scenario modeling in inventory workflows.
Advanced skills in Excel; experience with Looker or comparable BI tools preferred.
Strong performance against inventory metrics like in-stock rate, turnover, weeks of supply, forecast accuracy, and aged inventory reduction.
Excellent communication skills to translate complex data into straightforward guidance for cross-functional teams.
Self-motivated with a proactive approach to continuous improvement and technology-driven process enhancement.

The salary range for this position is $75,000 to $90,000 annually, with compensation adjusted based on geographic cost of living. Additional incentives include an annual bonus target and equity participation.
