Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced iOS Developer passionate about tackling complex challenges and delivering quality mobile solutions. This position involves engaging in the complete product lifecycle from initial design and architecture to deployment and iterative improvement.

As part of an agency environment, you will encounter a broad range of projects—whether enhancing existing applications, developing new mobile experiences, supporting client discovery phases, or addressing technical problems collaboratively.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-quality native iOS applications using modern Swift programming language, contributing to architectural decisions and ensuring maintainability and performance.
• Collaborate closely with designers, strategists, QA experts, and fellow developers to craft intuitive, reliable, and enjoyable user interfaces.
• Apply modern engineering practices including automation and AI-driven development tools to accelerate progress without compromising code quality.
• Engage actively in sharing knowledge, mentoring peers, staying informed on Apple ecosystem advancements, and enhancing software development processes.

Required Experience and Skills

• 4 to 8+ years of iOS development experience, familiar with multiple layers of modern mobile app architecture.
• Strong proficiency in Swift and contemporary iOS development techniques.
• Experience with UIKit and/or SwiftUI frameworks.
• Skilled in API integration, secure authentication, local data persistence, and performance optimization.
• Ability to write clean, well-structured, and maintainable code.
• Usage of AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or similar platforms.
• Adherence to security, privacy, and accessibility best practices in application development.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing procedures.
• Experience with App Store submission and release workflows.
• Working knowledge of cloud services and API development, particularly involving AWS.
• Exposure to mobile analytics, monitoring tools, and Kotlin Multiplatform or other code-sharing approaches.

Additional Information

This role is based in New Zealand with offices located in Wellington or Auckland, requiring onsite presence as part of a collaborative, in-person team that values invention, empathy, and courage.
