IT Infrastructure Engineer

Overview

This role involves administering and maintaining the company's IT network, servers, and storage infrastructure while providing technical support for hardware, software, and peripherals across local and regional offices. The engineer will ensure smooth operations, implement IT projects, maintain security policies, and support continuous infrastructure enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and administer network systems, servers, and storage solutions.
• Deliver technical assistance for computer hardware, software, and peripherals, ensuring users have standard software configurations.
• Participate in IT projects, suggesting improvements and efficient IT solutions.
• Oversee the function and enforcement of security appliances and IT security policies.
• Establish, review, and update IT security policies and procedures regularly.
• Perform scheduled security updates and maintenance on all IT-related systems and equipment.
• Conduct data backup, restoration, and disaster recovery operations; monitor system logs to detect and eradicate security threats.
• Recommend and design implementation strategies for new IT technologies that improve infrastructure and security.
• Collaborate with headquarters, regional IT teams, and vendors for system deployments and operational management.
• Coordinate hardware repairs, replacements, and RMA processes with IT vendors.

Experience and Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional experience in IT infrastructure, especially in Windows Server administration, troubleshooting, and implementation.
• Strong expertise in Active Directory, Group Policy management, and IT security best practices.
• Proficiency with System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).
• Experience with VMware, Palo Alto Cortex, Qualys, FortiGate Firewall, networking switches, network storage devices, printers, VPNs, PQD Deploy, and Veeam Backup.
• Solid background in on-premises data center architectures.
• Ability to provide comprehensive technical support for IT systems, hardware, and software.
• Good command of Microsoft Office suite.
• Excellent teamwork skills combined with a strong sense of responsibility.
• Effective communication and coordination capabilities.
• Critical thinking, problem-solving aptitude, and the ability to perform under pressure.
