IT Support Officer (Entry / Junior)

Role Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic junior-level IT Support Officer to help keep technology services running smoothly across the business. This position suits someone who enjoys troubleshooting, supporting end users, and building practical experience with modern IT tools.

Key Duties

• Act as the first point of contact for basic technical issues affecting hardware, software, and systems.
• Set up, install, and maintain computers, devices, and everyday applications.
• Investigate support tickets and work toward timely problem resolution.
• Help create and manage user accounts, access rights, and password resets.
• Carry out regular maintenance tasks, software updates, and equipment checks.
• Record incidents, fixes, and support processes clearly for future reference.
• Work with other teams to improve internal IT services and the overall user experience.

Required Background and Abilities

• Foundational knowledge of computers, operating systems, and networking basics.
• Working familiarity with Windows and Microsoft 365, or equivalent productivity platforms.
• Strong troubleshooting ability and logical thinking.
• Good verbal and written communication along with a customer-focused approach.
• Capability to handle several tasks at once and decide priorities sensibly.
• A careful, proactive attitude with attention to detail.
