Job Description

Full-time position
Monday through Friday, morning shift
Compensation of $9 per hour with weekly payments

The janitor is responsible for comprehensive cleaning and upkeep of assigned areas within a building or multiple client locations. Duties may vary according to client specifications, requiring flexibility in task execution.

Responsibilities

Clean and maintain floor surfaces through sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming
Adhere to proper procedures when using chemical cleaners and powered equipment to avoid damage
Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, meeting rooms, hallways, and entryways
Properly empty trash cans and use compactors as needed
Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors utilizing suitable products and tools
Spot clean carpets and assist with carpet extraction and shampooing
Restock paper products and sanitary supplies
Follow a structured housekeeping schedule
Use heavy-duty cleaning machinery, such as floor scrubbers, backpack vacuums, and buffers, occasionally
Perform additional duties as assigned based on client or work requirements

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent, or at least six months of janitorial experience
On-the-job training provided
Strong attention to detail
Ability to follow instructions carefully and effectively

Preferred Qualifications

Previous janitorial or cleaning experience is advantageous
Knowledge of custodial techniques and commercial cleaning standards
Familiarity with floor care procedures like buffing and waxing
Experience in industrial cleaning or facilities maintenance is a plus
