Role Overview

As a Mid Level Designer, you will generate and deliver creative concepts across both print and digital media to enhance brand recognition and community interaction. This role involves managing a variety of design projects aligned with marketing objectives. Residence in specified U.S. states (DC, GA, NC, IL, KY, MN, NJ, NY, OH, PA, TX) is mandatory as no relocation assistance is provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute design briefs received from North American marketing and sales teams promptly and creatively.
• Develop and implement creative ideas for marketing campaigns, including out-of-home advertising, social media, e-commerce, retail media, digital communications, and printed materials.
• Collaborate with creative leads to contribute to the art direction for photography and videography related to products and campaigns.
• Prepare and deliver print-ready final files.
• Manage packaging production and other collateral such as event invitations and vinyl displays.
• Participate actively in brainstorming sessions with the Brand and Creative teams to ensure brand consistency.
• Utilize skills in illustration, editing, animation, photography, and lifestyle/culture-driven design approaches.
• Stay informed about trends in design, coffee, consumer packaged goods, and food and beverage industries, incorporating insights into work at Minor Figures.

Team Environment

You will be part of the North American Marketing team reporting to the Director of Marketing, collaborating closely with a small group of creative and marketing professionals. The company fosters a culture that values originality, daring creativity, and teamwork, extending also to colleagues based in the UK who emphasize optimism and experimentation.

Candidate Profile

• Possess 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in agency or in-house settings, demonstrated by a strong portfolio showcasing versatility and sound creative decisions.
• Experienced in both rapid production of small assets and managing larger marketing initiatives and events.
• Attention to detail and proficiency in producing both print and digital deliverables with an understanding of their distinct requirements.
• Adaptable to a fast-paced and collaborative team environment with effective time management skills.
• Visual style matching Minor Figures' aesthetic is essential.
• Animation and 3D skills are advantageous but not mandatory.
• Enthusiastic about visual problem-solving, open to feedback, and collaborative in approach.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, positive attitude.
• Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) is required; familiarity with Figma, After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Blender is beneficial.

Working Conditions

This position is based at home but requires living in DC, GA, NC, IL, KY, MN, NJ, NY, OH, PA, or TX; relocation assistance is not offered. It is a salaried exempt position requiring 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, typically between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, with some flexibility for events, trade shows, and occasional weekend work.

Compensation

The salary range for this role is $55,000 to $67,000 annually.
