Role Overview

The role of Mobile Apps Test Engineer is based in Hyderabad, India, requiring over 5 years of experience, with a focus on onsite work. Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields and possess seasoned expertise in both manual and automation testing specifically for mobile applications.

Responsibilities

• Conduct various testing types including functional, system, exploratory, user acceptance (UAT), regression, and integration tests manually.
• Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts ensuring comprehensive coverage.
• Possess a solid understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), methodologies, techniques, and levels.
• Perform Android and iOS mobile app testing, utilizing mobile test automation frameworks and tools.
• Engage in API testing and validate backend services to assure software integrity.
• Actively participate in Agile/SCRUM team activities such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Prepare detailed test plans, execute tests, analyze results, and report defects with accompanying debugging using ADB and other tools.
• Collaborate closely with developers and stakeholders, communicating test progress, risks, and quality concerns effectively.
• Incorporate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and work with DevOps or ADC tools to streamline build and deployment processes.
• Promote ownership of product quality and adherence to testing standards throughout the project.

Mandatory Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum of 5 years’ QA/testing experience with strong manual and automation testing skills.
• Expertise in mobile application testing for Android and iOS platforms.
• Proficient with mobile test automation frameworks and scripting.
• Experienced in multiple testing types: functional, regression, system, exploratory, and UAT testing.
• Competent in API testing and adept in defect tracking and debugging.
• Familiar with STLC, Agile/SCRUM methodologies, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Use of mobile debugging tools such as Android Debug Bridge (ADB).

Preferred Experience

• Background in testing medical or healthcare software products.
• Experience working with DevOps/ADC tools and cloud/mobile device testing platforms.
• Building or enhancing automated testing frameworks.
