Network Security Engineer

Overview

Accenture Middle East is seeking a skilled Network Security Engineer to manage the daily operations and support of network security services. The role focuses on maintaining the security and reliability of network infrastructure alongside threat management technologies.

Primary Duties

• Manage and support various network security tools including firewalls, mail gateways, proxies, NAC solutions, and related platforms.
• Create and manage firewall policies using tools like AlgoSec for thorough policy reviews and validation.
• Administer and troubleshoot security hardware and platforms to maintain secure configurations, ensure uptime, and optimize performance within on-premises environments.
• Resolve network and security issues effectively through traffic analysis and packet capture methods to enable prompt problem resolution.
• Assist in audit processes and produce comprehensive reports to reflect network security operations and insights.
• Escalate complex security incidents or threats promptly to ensure timely handling.

Candidate Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related fields, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong grasp of network security concepts including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, malware analysis, and threat identification.
• Hands-on expertise in managing Firewalls, WAF, API Security, DDoS mitigation, IPS, Mail gateways, Proxies, and NAC solutions.
• Experience with configuring and operating on-premises network security resources.
• Proficient in network troubleshooting techniques, such as traffic analysis and packet capture.
• Analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills, committed to continuous improvement.
• Effective communicator skilled at documentation and audit reporting.

Preferred Certifications

• Certifications such as CCNA Security, CCNP Security, PNSCE, NSE4, or NSE7 are highly valued.
